Childhood influenza is one of the common diseases that harm children's health. Influenza spreads rapidly and causes seasonal epidemics every year. In order to verify the validity and security of the Chinese medicine in treating flu in children, we conducted a series of randomized controlled trials in the clinic, but the study found that there are many problems in clinical research of traditional Chinese medicine, such as the use of non-standard evaluation indicators, improper measurement tools and unreasonable criteria for efficacy determination. Despite the Chinese medicine treating children flu index, we still lack of relevant research and analysis. In view of this, this study aims to develop a set of core outcome indicators for clinical research on TCM treatment of influenza in children, so as to solve the problems existing in clinical research on TCM.
