Despite advances in rapid recognition and resuscitation, sepsis remains a major cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide, underscoring the need for continued research, education, and knowledge translation activities. There is heterogeneity in the outcomes measured and reported in trials evaluating treatments of adult sepsis. In this project, we will develop a Core Outcome Set (COS) for studies evaluating the effectiveness of treatments for adult sepsis. The study will be conducted in four stages: (1)systematic review, (2) Delphi survey (3)consensus meetings and (4)dissemination and implementation strategy.
