Development of the core facial core outcome set for facial trauma

This study aims to develop a core outcome set for clinical research involving patients with facial trauma. The goal is to establish a standardized minimum set of outcomes that should be consistently measured and reported in all clinical trials and observational studies addressing patients with facial injuries to hard tissues or any injury to the facial skeleton and overlying soft tissues, excluding purely dental injuries. The Core Outcomes will be developed using established methodologies, including systematic reviews to identify existing outcomes and structured consensus processes involving patients, clinicians, and researchers. This collaborative approach will ensure the outcomes chosen are both clinically relevant and meaningful to patients. Implementing this Core Outcome will improve the consistency of outcome reporting, and support better, evidence-based care for people with facial trauma.
