To fully understand the impact of pregnancy and diabetes on the women’s life, it is crucial to assess patients' subjective experiences alongside objective clinical measures in research and clinical practice. And currently, there is a lack of alignment on which PROs are most important to focus on for these women, as well as a lack of alignment on how to measure them by patient-reported outcome measurements (PROMs). Therefore, We find it relevant to develop a COS consisting solely of PROs among this patient group. And since no questionnaires (PROMs) are specifically developed to assess PROs among this patient group, we find it highly relevant to develop this COS of PROs as the first step.
The outcomes included in this COS is recommended to be measured alongside biomedical outcomes identified in an existing COS developed for this patient group. Which means, that this COS is an add on to the existing COS.
