Guidelines for controlled trials of drugs in migraine. First edition. International Headache Society Committee on Clinical Trials in Migraine

Not provided

Aim

The present guidelines were developed under the auspices of the International Headache Society because of a need "to improve the quality of controlled clinical trials in migraine". Quality controlled trials are the only way to demonstrate convincingly the efficacy of a drug. Only quality trials can form the basis for international collaboration on drug therapy. The main purpose of these guidelines is to draw the investigators attention to the problems inherent in drug trials in migraine.
